Izvleček: | Thermoregulation of the human body is sustained with the heat exchange between the body and the surroundings, and is conditioned by the dynamic balance between the produced heat and the heat lost into the environment. The quantity of heat emitted into the environment is constantly varying and largly depends on the temeprature, velocity and relative humidity of the surrounding air. With respect to the quality, all processes of heat exchange are equal, but as far as the quantity of heat exchange is concerned, it depends on special thermal characetristics of clothings , i.e. on their capability to protect the body against the cold. The measuring value to represent the said characteristics is thermal insulation (resistance) of clothings. The research is focused on how the body activity and air velocity effect thermal insulation of clothing at air temperature of o oC. The experiment was conducted with the computer controlled mannequin (TORE) which was designed so as to simulate thermoregulation processes of the human body. TORE was manufactured on the basis of the preliminary standard (EN 342: 1995/96) in the climatic laboratory of the National Institute of Working Life in Solna, Sweden. |
