| Izvleček: | In this paper we analyse reasons and consequences of transformational recession in Slovenia as well as key features of economic growth as a result of macroeconomic stabilization, microeconomic restructuring and establishing new markets. In comparison with other reforming countries Slovenia had the advantage to be more developed and market oriented while on the other hand the political circumstances in the region were the most severe disadvantage. Slovenia succeeded to turn the recession into economic growth without disturbing the macroeconomic balances. In some elements the transitional pattern of Slovenia differed from those in other reforming countries. |
