It considers the importance of various privatization objectives and the degree to which they have been realized. The objectives of the major stakeholders are considered, together with the objectives of investors and the privatized companies, where issues of improved efficiency via the acquisition of strategic assets and capabilities are studied. In the article research on companies in various stages of privatization process is presented in order to assess the impact of privatization. The work seeks to identify general trends in the Central European privatization process and to offer insights into the best practice in the area as a whole rather than country specific issues.
