Opis
Izvleček:Cross-docking is one of the basic logistics strategies that corresponds with the rapid turnover of shipments by providing consolidation activities. This preliminary study introduces a conceptual framework for the autonomous cross-docking system and the coordination activities of related interactions. Since the distribution networks are likely to have a complex structure, the holistic perspective of the material flow is far from being trivial. Here first, the coordination of inner-systemʼs interactions is done, while the interactions between systems are a part of the relevant information sharing. Hence, the planning decisions belong to an individual cross-docking system, while information sharing is proposed for the synchronisation of activities on the global level. Hopefully, the evaluation of the proposed framework will return promising results.
