| Izvleček: | Scientific optimization methods were used to develop mathematical models designed to solve the problems of continental container transport, a basis of the logistic system in Slovenia. The capacity of a container terminal depends on the type and size of containers and on the number of overload operations per time unit. These parameters determine the size of the deposit place, the length of railway tracks and roads, the type and number of mechanization needed for loading and the choice of road and railway vehicles. An algorthm has been set up for determining an optimal model of a continental continer terminal as a basis for a computer program with the possibility of setting up a simulation model of various terminals. |
