Opis
Izvleček:Two dimensional planar simulation of the flow of the linear and quasilinear upper-convected Maxwell fluid is performed using the Boundary element method (BEM). In particular, a singular boundary integral approach, which has been established for the viscous incompressible flow problem [5], is modified and extended to capture viscoelastic fluid state. A special attention is given to a proper integration of the conservation and constitutive equations. A velocity - vorticity formulation of the dynamical set of equations is adopted. The flow through an abrupt planar contraction with a re-entrant corner is studied [1].
